The Order of St. John (OSJ, formerly known as Youth Group) is an organization that serves youth 3rd thru 12th grades. The OSJ is involved in several aspects of the church and works directly with the Pastor to coordinate service and social opportunities. Below are the positions and their responsibilities:
- President/Abbot
- Vice President/Prior
- Service Secretary/Almoner
- Social Secretary/Almoner
- Head Altar Server/Sacristan
- Brothers & Sisters comprise general membership
The OSJ just elected their first set of officers and is currently being formed.
At a minimum, the OSJ will be responsible for the following:
- Altar service and organization of volunteers
- Leading Christmas Eve Service and Sunrise Service Easter Sunday
- Annual Fundraisers
- Soup Supper for the Annual Meeting in January
- Easter Breakfast
- Social Gatherings
- Community Service Projects
Fundraisers support the greater work of the church, food ministries, and helps get us going on mission trips as we serve God wherever we are called!
