What if we have been thinking about mission in the wrong way?

What if mission isn’t something that the church does like on a trip, or for a project, or a 6 week session… What if mission is something that God does 24/7 because God is so passionate about it — and the church who was created and led by God is also called to do?

Maybe mission isn’t something the church does from time to time, but something that we were created to do, a way of living, for each and everyone of us from the time we roll out of bed in the morning to the time we say our prayers at night…

Do we get to be a people that reconcile, and care, and share God’s love…

I mean, if God is reaching out to all people, caring for all people, providing so that all people can have enough…what does that mean for the church? Are we called to live differently because God has made us a mission-filled people?

-OR- to put it another way, does following Jesus change the way we live and the way we reach out to others? (you know, those hours not spent in church)
