The church is a gathering of people who are following God. And for many of us that involves worship on Sunday. It also is the way that we live the rest of the week…. We get to search God with all that we are, no matter what day of the week! We get to pray and seek God and reflect the love that God has for us towards others. That’s who we are as God’s people!

And so if you’re looking for a way to seek God, consider reading your Bible (Crazy thought, I know! But most of us don’t really ever read scripture on our own!)So give it a try because it’s there in scripture that we get to find God, and read into God’s history with us as a people. Martin Luther referred to scripture as the manger that holds Christ, and so if you’re looking for Jesus, what better place to start than the cradle that holds him!

And so, attached is a way to read the Bible (yes, the whole thing) in a year. It’s only a chapter or two a night for every day for a year (Think Turtle, not Hare.) And it’s a way to see God and the relationship God has with us, and the one that God wants to have with us. And so, see if you can’t make the commitment to read scripture for a year, and see what you find about God and the hopes God has for you…
